Individual sessions are generally preferred by clients for working on their personal and emotional growth. The duration and the frequency of sessions is dependent on the needs of the clients. For instance brief therapy may involve one or a number of sessions. Some may require longer term psychotherapy.

Group sessions are facilitated for participants who feel comfortable to work with a group rather than individual sessions.. Based on a small number, the participants are committed to work together for ten sessions. Each participant is expected to commit themselves to attend until it is completed. The group is free to express themselves and at the same time working through their personal issues.
